‘Singha Durbar’ brings governance on TV screen

Onsari Gharti Magar, Speaker of the house, along with US Ambassador to Nepal Alaina B. Teplitz launched a Nepali television political drama Singha Durbar. The 13 part series funded by USAID Nepal and produced by Search for Common Ground Nepal will air from Nepal Television every Sunday at 8:50 pm from 15th November, 2015.

The TV series is crafted to promote positive role models for leadership and governance, and create possibilities for collaborative political culture in the public imagination.
The TV series stars Gauri Malla as the Prime Minister, Ramesh Ranjan as the leader of the Prime Minister’s political party, Praween Khatiwoda as the PM’s press advisor, Bhintuna Joshi as the PM’s secretary, Pramod Agrahari as another leader from the PM’s party, Anil Pandey as the Chief Secretary, and Alok Thapa as a blogger.
